PTCBOX’s Paypal account is limited

It’s been a long since our latest entry and the news are not that good for the PTCBOX members. The first weird incident happened a couple of days ago when we tried to request a payment but out of surprise the system informed us that our account was being monitored for security reasons. After the unexpected incident we witnessed, a forum discussion at PTCBOX’s forum brought us more skepticism regarding the situation and the good stand of PTCBOX. PTCBOX’s paypal is blocked as you can see on the screenshot we took for you and it is confirmed by other bloggers as a true fact. The users are very nervous because of the admin’s absence since the very first time and the speculation have being going on and on. For the time being, we are not moving the current site from our recommended listing, however we are giving a notice of a hold on warning expecting from our reader to wait before a proper update is given. The entry is about to be updated soon depending on the news we shall be receiving.

UpdateUpdate, September 29, 2012: Perhaps it is the first time that we publish a payment proof since March though it is necessary for our report. Right now, withdrawals are open via Payza as we checked and get paid successfully the small amount we had request for testing the system. We wonder for how long yet.

UpdateUpdate, September 30, 2012: Finally admins appeared and with a short yet convincing announcement put an end to the speculation. PTCBOX could not even celebrate its first anniversary. MatrixMails’ future has not been specified however the sister site should be affected by all that.

Unfortunately, PtcBox’s Paypal account has recently been limited by Paypal.

Paypal is the biggest payment processor and nearly all of the sales and payments are processed through Paypal. With the huge volume which PtcBox has reached, it will not be possible to survive, even for a short time. If we can not get our account back, PtcBox will eventually turn into a “ghost” web site and it will be remembered as a scam. Although it is still possible to get the account activated, the chances are low so instead of giving hope, we will have to accept the worst case scenario and make 3 very important calls regarding this matter before it’s too late.

FIRST: As you know, once Paypal blocks an account, they will keep the balance for 6 months and then release it after 6 months. But 6 months is a very long time for PTC sites and who cares about money if PtcBox dies by then? This may come across as strange but we are calling everyone to open a dispute for us. Once again, please “OPEN A DISPUTE FOR ALL OF YOUR PURCHASES THROUGH PAYPAL”. We can not withdraw the money but if you open a dispute they HAVE TO refund the money to customers even if we fail to reactivate the account. In this way at least the money will not stay in Paypal’s bank account, and it will return to the members’ accounts.

You can place a statement such as “Because the merchant’s account has been limited, I want my money to be refunded” or alternative statements that come to the same effect.

SECOND: As of today, we’ve temporarily stopped selling advertisements and memberships.

THIRD: Do NOT promote your PtcBox referral links at other sites with “PAID ADVERTISEMENTS”. Please do NOT spend any money to promote your referral links in any case. But if you have links which you don’t have to pay money for, you can keep promoting your links.

Kind Regards,

  1. When I initially commented I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on every time a comment is added I recieve 4 emails with the same comment. There has to be an easy method you can remove me from that service? Many thanks!

    • Yes, you can unsubscribe if you want. Just find a recent e-mail from Earnings Area and click on the link at the bottom.

  2. We dont have to speculate just because a PTC website got their PayPal account blocked. Even the most trusted PTC websites like Neobux too had got their PayPal blocked at one stage. It may be a similar case too.

During these times, they certainly shall have to announce it officially and maybe post it in their forum or blog if they have one. Failure in doing so is the cause of all these panic.

Maybe they shall gain their account back within a month or two, if they get lucky.

  3. Hmm, it’s really interesting that they suggested everyone opening disputes. It does make sense for the receiving end so that they’re not screwed. At the same time, it feels like maybe they’re giving up on getting their account reactivated, though. If they fight, it shouldn’t take 6 months to get it opened back up. That’s the default time, but most get resolved long before then.

  4. Yes, they are changing their policies lately, and becoming more strict over which use do you give to your account, and why it must be justified. This just happened to my Paypal account in which they asked me my bank account number for withdrawals out of nothing at all! They just alleged “security reasons”.
